CATEGORY IS: Navigating Culture & Identity in Acting & Performance
PANELISTS: Linedy Genao, Chris Mansa & Terrell Donnel Sledge
For our first panel of the summer we have invited 3 theater & film/tv actors to speak about how they navigate culture and identity while practicing the highly vulnerable vocation of acting. At this panel we will also discuss topics such as cultural-consciousness, self marketing, and actor's expectations as they differ from the professional world and academia.

For our second panel we have invited both theatrical actors & performance artist to talk about how they practice creative discipline - specially during these challenging times. At this panel we will also discuss the incredibly importance of - and lack of - accessibility within our industry as well as how successful art and artists are to be influenced by our environments.

CATEGORY IS: Tokenization VS. Representation
PANELISTS: Jose Carrasquillo, Becky Rivas & Mei Ann Teo
For this panel we have invited directors & creators of straight plays & musicals to discuss the obligations assigned to us by the dominant culture to constantly represent our identities through our work, and how this obligations sometimes prevent people of color from finding their own artistic autonomy.

For our 5th panel we have invited established leaders in our field to discuss how we - as a community, individuals & leaders - can produce for social change & how our industry needs to seek & practice accountability. It takes a dedicated group of people to promote change, at this panels we will discuss steps that we can all take in order to better our communities.

CATEGORY IS: Inciting Change; How to be a Leader in the Arts & in Our Communities

For our 6th panel our guests will speak to us about how we - as artists & leaders - can incite change within our communities. Leadership is a term that is misunderstood by many, a term usually related more to power than it relates to service, at this panel we will discuss the importance of leadership.

CATEGORY IS: The Skills Learned by Practicing Design / How to Navigate the Freelance World
PANELISTS: Melanie Chen Cole, Sherrice Mojgani​ & David Murakami
For our 1st panel of design we have invited artists in the fields of sound, lighting & projections design. We will discuss which set of skills an individual acquires by practicing design - skills not often talked about - as well as how one practices a healthy life while navigating the freelance world of design.

CATEGORY IS: Challenging Stereotypes in the Design Process
PANELISTS: Valarie Sue Henry & Ramaj Jamar
For our 9th and last panel of the summer we have invited two artists to speak about the importance and necessity of challenging stereotypes through the design process. We will discuss strategies on how to "stand up for what's right" and the innate courage that comes with challenging the power dynamics currently in place within our industry.
